  1. Crop Juice
    We’re huge fans of everything at Crop, a 100% vegan restaurant here in Sarasota. The kids love their smoothies and juices, they also have fabulous vegan desserts and I love the Cinna-Nana Overnight Oats and all their salads. My favorite salads right now are the Asian salad and the Chickpea Kale Caesar. I also love the Choco Cherry Chia Blast Smoothie. Oh, and the stuffed salted chocolate dates with almond butter. Need I say more? Crop Juice has two locations, one on Proctor and Stickney Point Rd, the other just north of the UTC mall. Karen and her staff are so friendly and loving, we always feel so welcome here.
  2. SaraFresh 
    We absolutely love everything about SaraFresh! Lynn and her staff have done an amazing job and my spirit is always lifted after a visit. The location is nestled into the cozy Rosemary Square in downtown Sarasota, they have comfortable outdoor seating and delicious vegan food. We love the smoothie bowls, smoothies, and juices. My favorite is the BOTA bowl. So good!! Highly recommend! 
  3. Project Coffee 
    We love this all vegan cafe + restaurant in Sarasota, located on Pineapple Avenue close to the Selby Gardens, sure to be a hit with vegans and omnivores alike. Delicious breakfast sandwiches, sweet AND savory waffles, and hot chocolate. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and bright. Also love how they are adding new and tasty items to the menu every time we come. Kid-approved!
  4. Pho Cali
    We absolutely love the Lemongrass Tofu w/ Chilies & Onions (#117) from Pho Cali on Main Street in Sarasota. The kids always get the Fried Rice with Tofu, it’s their favorite meal in all of Sarasota. Just be sure to mention that you want these dishes made vegan. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. If it was up to my sweet 6-year-old daughter, Edna, we’d go at least eight times a week. Ha, ha! Highly recommend it, we always feel so welcome here.
  5. Screaming Goat Taqueria
    My favorite at Screaming Goat in Gulf Gate in south Sarasota is the simple, yet cravingly delicious, bean and rice taco bowls with corn salsa and arugula. They also have lots of yummy vegan proteins to choose from, or do what I do and add a giant mouthwatering serving of guacamole on top with all the plant-based toppings they offer instead. Very friendly staff and fun inside and outdoor seating.
  6. Nutritious You
    We love this all vegan restaurant in Sarasota, with multiple locations; one is in the mall on Siesta Drive and Tamiami right next to Macy’s and the other one is on south Siesta Key, nestled into a cozy courtyard. Our family favorites at Nutritious You are the Beyond Meat burgers, ridiculously good Reuben sandwiches, and the tasty Açai bowls. They also have delicious desserts and smoothies. So yummy! Very friendly and welcoming staff. A joy for the whole family.
  7. Green Zebra
    We love Green Zebra! My favorites at Green Zebra, are the raw lasagna and raw pancakes. So good! They also have two locations; one on Lido, in St. Armands Circle and one on Main Street, downtown. The kids love their Açai bowls and their favorite is the vegan French toast. Hit for the whole family, we love both the indoor and outdoor seating!
  8. Simon’s
    Love Simon’s! The outdoor seating is always so nice, and they have lots of yummy vegan options. Love how their menu changes and everything we’ve tried there has been delicious. Some of our favorites are the Kitesurfer Wrap and the Krishna Panini and we love their Sunday brunch. The kids love their smoothie bowls, smoothies, juices and the desserts of course. Ha, ha! Simon’s is located on Tamiami close to Phillippi Park. Highly recommend it. Sure to be a favorite for omnivores and vegans alike.
  9. Lila’s
    Oh, Lila’s on Main! Where to start?  When we go for brunch, the vegan waffles and pancakes are delicious and so comforting. There are always wonderful dishes to choose from. Some of our favorites are the Sushi Volcano Roll, Mushroom burger, Grilled Tofu with Dragon Sauce, Crispy Fried Seitan (Chicken) Sandwich and the Kale Guacamole. Great option for both dinning-in and for picking up.
  10. Stiks
    Stiks is on Tamiami Trail just north of the Landings. Lots of vegan options on the menu! The kids love their Fried Rice with Tofu, and my favorites are The Spring Rolls, and we just tried the Orange Tofu for the first time, and we all loved it! We enjoy hanging out on the couch in their hip and modern dining area and have so much fun playing the games they have available. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

  1. Blaze Pizza 
    We love the “Build your own” option at Blaze by the UTC mall. We just pile on all the delicious veggies. I go all out and start with the red sauce then I add olives, red onions, mushrooms, green peppers, artichokes, two different kinds of olives, garlic (both roasted whole and chopped, I know, total garlic lover here) and then I also add the broccoli. It’s basically a salad. Ha, ha! The kids like to add the vegan cheese as well, I personally enjoy it the best with no cheese at all. Just top it with oregano, oh and once it’s out of the oven we ask them to top it with arugula. Sooo good! We really enjoy the outdoor seating and it’s usually the highlight of a fun shopping trip with the kids. Great place to sit and enjoy life together.
  2. Spice Station
    Spice Station on Boulevard of the Arts is a go-to for us. Lots of vegan options and just about everything on the menu can be made vegan. Very friendly staff and we love the outdoor seating. Some of our favorite dishes here are Fried rice with tofu, Tofu with chili and basil and the Pad Thai.
  3. Wicked Cantina
    The Wicked Cantina has a whole separate vegan menu, and their chips and salsa are delicious. My favorite is the Roasted cauliflower tacos. We love their outdoor seating on Tamiami, close to the Van Wezel.
  4. Leaf & Lentil
    Delicious food and super friendly staff at this 100% vegan restaurant in Sarasota. We love their The Mushroom Reuben, The Tofu Bahn Mi, The Sliders and the Hummus Plate, not to mention all the yummy desserts. Their menu changes a little and we love that. Everything we’ve tried from here is delicious and we always feel so welcome. Leaf & Lentil is located on Tamiami, just north of the Van Wezel. We love ordering our food there and then taking it down to the waterfront to enjoy the view and beautiful sunset.
  5. Vegan Deli
    We absolutely love the Vegan Deli. I mean, what is there not to love about this all vegan restaurant right here in Sarasota? Every sandwich we’ve tried here is so yummy. Our favorites are the Gyro, the Club and the kids love the McBluffin with Just Egg. Same as with Leaf & Lentil, we love picking up food here and bringing it down to the bayfront just down the street. The Vegan Deli is located just south of the Ringling Museum on Tamiami. Fun for the whole family. Especially a big hit when you add some of their delicious desserts. Happy smiles all around!
  6. Lucile’s
    Huge family favorite! How can it not be, they have absolutely delicious vegan pizza, and their salads are amazing too. Great for both dining in, enjoying their outdoor seating, or picking it up to devour at home. Lucile’s is on Main Street downtown.
  7. Bangkok
    We love Bangkok, it’s a family favorite. The kids love the booths you get to sit in, and the food is delicious. My favorite is the Green Bean dish with red and green peppers and lemongrass stir-fired in red curry paste. The kids love their Fried Rice. We like to add fried tofu. Just mention you want it vegan. They know, very friendly staff. Bangkok is located on Swift and Proctor.
  8. Fit to Run
    When we go out to the mall, we always stop at Fit to Run to enjoy their delicious smoothie bowls. It’s located close the play area inside of the UTC mall. Kid-approved and frequently requested!
  9. Ionie’s
    Ionie’s is amazing! Love all the juices and smoothies, not to mention their desserts. Always makes my heart sing to visit this all vegan restaurant in Sarasota. My favorite meal here is probably the Raw Mac n cheese, but it’s hard to choose. Everything I’ve had is delicious! Ionie’s is located on Fruitville in downtown Sarasota.
  10. Beauty of Sprouts We love this all vegan restaurant in Sarasota. My favorites at Beauty of Sprouts, in the Rosemary District downtown, are the spring rolls, borscht soup, raw pizza and, well, everything Rano makes is delicious. If she recommends something, trust her. She knows! We always feel so welcome here. Highly recommend it!

  1. Caragiulos Italian American Restaurant
    Our favorite meal from Caragiulos is the Penne alla Zasa – Penne pasta with roasted broccoli & cauliflower and sun-dried tomatoes. The kids love their Make your own pizzas with vegan cheese. The restaurant is located on Palm Avenue, in downtown Sarasota and has wonderful indoor and outdoor seating. Great choice for the whole family.
  2. Poppo’s Taqueria
    We can’t get enough of the Tempeh Tacos with Pico de Gallo and Arugula (also delicious as a bowl, but you have to try the fresh-pressed tortillas!) from Poppo’s Taqueria. Plus we love the homemade chips and salsa. They have several locations, one by the UTC mall and one in The Landings
  3. Lovely Square
    Love this spot! Lovely Square is in Gulf Gate in south Sarasota. Lots of tasty vegan options clearly marked on the menu. We love the Cauliflower tacos and can’t wait to go back and try their vegan crepes. Very friendly staff and the interior is very fresh and inviting.
  4. Veg
    We love the Kung Pao Cauliflower Stir Fry from Veg, located in Gulf Gate in south Sarasota. They also have delicious salads and desserts.
  5. Isan Thai
    Isan Thai is located on Tamiami Trail, close to Phillippi Park. We love the beautiful interior of this restaurant, brings us right back to our trips to Thailand. The kids love their Fried Rice and Tofu and the Pad Thai. My favorite is the Panang Curry with jasmine rice. Just mention you want your meal vegan, and the very friendly staff is happy to help.
  6. Whole Foods
    I know Whole Foods is not a restaurant per say but, wow were we impressed with their vegan pizza! We called ahead to their downtown Sarasota location and ordered it and brought it to the beach one night. Absolutely delicious! We had one pizza with vegan sausage and one with vegan cheese and mushrooms. Very impressed! They rotate the different kinds of toppings. Check them out for sure! They also have a great smoothie and juice bar in the store and lots of easy grab and go vegan food.
  7. Origin Pizza
    Origin Pizza, in the Southside Village have some good vegan options too. The kids love their Vegan Cheese Pizza, playing the video games and putting tunes on the jukebox. Makes for a fun evening out with the family. We recently found out that the delicious Mediterranean pizza has honey in the gluten free crust, but after reaching out to the friendly staff, they said they would be happy to look into making that crust vegan as well. Woot! That just made our day! They said that in the meantime, we can enjoy the Mediterranean pizza on their regular homemade crust which is always vegan. Happy day!
  8. Made in Rome
    We could not make a list of our favorite spots in Sarasota without mentioning Made in Rome. Although it may not be a restaurant per say, they sure have the best ice cream in town! They have lots of clearly marked vegan ice cream flavors (try the vegan chocolate and ask about off-menu half scoops if you can’t decide) and fresh gelato options. Talk about a kid favorite! And to top it off their waffle cones are vegan, even the one dipped in chocolate. Oh my!! Heaven!! Made in Rome is located on Siesta Key in the village. Perfect stop after a relaxing day on the beach!
